Personal Training allows you to find the right fitness routine for you, ensuring you meet your goals quickly and effectively through ‘one on one’ or small group training. However before beginning a fitness program, your personal trainer, conducts your lifestyle consultation and health appraisal.

This process is used in appraising health status and providing information that is used in developing comprehensive, body-specific programs of exercise, to safely and effectively meet your  individual health and fitness goals.

The most important principle underlying  your lifestyle consultation and health appraisal process is to screen you for risk factors and symptoms of chronic cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic and orthopedic diseases in order to optimize safety during exercise testing and participation.

Your initial interview is your first quick but vital step towards reaching your wellness goals. Your personal trainer and yourself assess compatibility, develop goals, and establish a personal training agreement using the following tools:

  • Personal Details Record.
  • Risk Screening Assessment.
  • Lifestyle Assessment.
  • Attitudinal Assessment.
  • Goal Setting and;
  • Fitness Assessment – Body Fat Analysis, Girth Measurement and Present Physical Capacities

This information from these assessments is used as a baseline over a six month period, to check progress and program effectiveness on a monthly basis and as a means to tailor exercise programs to your evolving needs, goals and body.
